Adoption Assistance Plan

If you decide to adopt a child, Inova is here to support you. Through the Adoption Assistance Plan, you can receive reimbursement for up to $7,500 in eligible adoption-related expenses. Back-up Child and Elder Care

The Bright Horizons Program provides access to temporary back-up center-based childcare as well as in-home care for dependent children and adult/elder family members (even if they don’t live with you).

This benefit allows you to make back-up care arrangements for your loved ones without having to take time away from work when regular care arrangements fall through, an unexpected emergency arises or you simply need additional dependent care assistance.

Commuter Benefits

To ease the cost of your commute to work, the Inova commuter benefits program lets you set aside pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to help pay for monthly parking or transit costs.

Team members who enroll in the commuter benefits program in 2024 will receive a free $50 SmarTrip® card to use for rail, bus and parking expenses on all Metrorail stations in DC, Maryland and Virginia, Metro parking garages and lots, Metrobus routes, MTA, and partner regional bus providers.

Decide the amount you want to contribute, and the money is deducted from your paycheck, before taxes are taken out.


How much

You can elect to contribute up to the monthly IRS limit of $315 for transit and $315 for parking.



Make changes by the 15th of each month for the new deduction to be effective the following month.
